• Businesses. For a time Joseph owned a grocery store at Smith Corner, Elm Street. He later founded and operateed Biddeford and Saco Paper Company. He ran the Elm Street business for ma;y years., prior to retiring around 1945 • Organizations. One of teh founders of the Voltigeur Snowshoe Club in Biddeford, ME. He was an active member of the organization for over twenty five years. He was also a former President of the American and Canadian Snowshoe Union. In addition, Joseph belonged to the Biddeford and Saco Lodge of Elks, Council Cagon, Union St Jean Baptiste, Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish, and the Sacred Heart League of Notre Dame de Lourdes in Saco
