Marie Charette
Mrs. Marie Exilia (Lemieux) Charette, 90, widow of William Charette, died suddenly this morning at the home of an adopted son, Gerard Charette, 514 Elm St, Biddeford.
Born in St. Johnsbury, VT a daughter of Jean Baptiste and Delia (Dumas) Lemieux, she had lived in Biddeford for 78 years. She was a member of the Women's Benefit association (Maccabes), Ste Anne Sodality of St Joseph Parish and a Communicant of St Joseph Church.
Besides her adopted son, she leaves a brother-in-law, Michael Marquis, a grandson Roger Charette, all of Biddeford and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 A.M. from St Joseph Church.
Mass at St Joseph Church by Msgr Elie Hevey celebrated the solemn requiem high mass and Rev A. S. Martel assisted as deacon with Rev Sylvio Levesque, sub deacon. Singing was by a male quartet and Mrs Diana Rousselle was organist.
Bearers were Maurice Gagnon, Alberie Caron, Roger Jean and William Normand . Interment was in the family lot at St Joseph Cemetery where Father Levesque said the last prayers at graveside.
