Illness Fatal to William Charette
William Charette, 81 of 512 Elm St, a resident of this city for 71 years, died at a local hospital Tuesday after a brief illness.
He was the son of Telesphore and Theotis (Charette) Charette. Prior to retiring several years ago, he was employed in the winding department of the York division of the Bates Manufacturing company. He was a member of the Maccabes and Sacred Heart league of St Joseph parish.
Besides his widow, the former Exilia Lemieux, he leaves a son, Gerard Charette.
The body is at the Emond funeral home where friends may call between 10 A.M. and 10 P.M., prior to the service at St Joseph Church, Friday morning at 8:30.
Members of Sacred Heart League, St Joseph Parish, will meet at the Emond funeral home this evening at 7 P.M. to pay respect
William Charette Funeral services for William Charette were held this morning from St Joseph Church with Rev Robert R. Lavoie the celebrant of the solemn requiem high mass assisted by Rev Aurelle E. Lemelin as deacon and Rev Adrian Casavant as sub deacon.
Singing was by a male quartet with Mrs Roland Rousselle at the organ.
Bearers were Conrad, Voler, Henri and Roland Lemieux, Albert Charette and George Dumais.
Burial was in the family lot at St Joseph Cemetery with Father Lemelin saying prayers at the grave.
Attending from out of town were Albert Charette and Mrs Willie Beauregard, Lowell, Mass
