CHARETTE -- In Nashville, Tennessee, May 17. Gerard Charette, 514 Elm St. died while on vacation Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born here, a son of Willey and Exilia Lemieux Charette, and graduated St. Louis High School.

Mr. Charette owned and operated Pond Cove Cleaners, Cape Elizabeth, for about 15 years. He retired in 1983.

Gerard Charette, 69, of 514 Elm St. died while on vacation Saturday in Nashville, Tenn.

He was born here, a son of Willey and Exilia Lemieux Charette, and graduated from St Louis School.

Mr. Charette owned and operated Pond Cove Cleaners, Cape Elizabeth, for about 15 years. He retired in 1983

He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.

Surviving are his wife, Laurette Gobeil Charette of Biddeford; a son, Roger of Saco, and a granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Arrangements are by Emond and Conroy Funeral Home.

Calling hours at Emond and Conroy Funeral Home 72 Hill St. are Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
