Philippe Gobeil
SACO - Philippe E. Gobeil, 69, of 3 Market St., died Sunday at his home following a long illness.
He was born in Biddeford, May 13, 1910, son of Adelard and Laura Brunelle Gobeil, and attended local schools.
Gobeil was self-employed in New York City for 43 years and returned to the Saco area a few months ago. He was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church.
He is survived by a son, Robert Gobeil of Louisiana; a daughter, Phyllis Vintimille of Virginia Beach, Va., a stepson, Roland Corriveau of Old Orchard Beach; five brothers, Willie Gobeil of Saco, and George Gobeil, Alfred Gobeil, Arthur Gobeil and Henri
Gobeil, all of Biddeford; six sisters, Mrs. Hector (Yvonne) Pombriant, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Edmond (Alice) Bedard, both of Saco, Mrs. Henry (Anna) Neault, Mrs. Gerard (Laurette) Charette and Mrs. Gerard (Jeanne) Richard, all of
Biddeford, and Mrs. Robert (Irene) Dudevoir of Old Orchard Beach; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many nephews and nieces.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church. Interment will be .in St. Joseph
Cemetery, Biddeford.
Calling hours will be held at the Emond and Conroy Funeral
Home, 72 Hill St., Biddeford, tonight, from 7 to 9, and Tuesday,
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m .
