Local Man Gets Purple Heart

The Purple Heart for wounds received in action in Korea is conferred on Pfc Joseph H. Gobeil, of Biddeford, by Colonel Charles L. Kirkpatrick, commanding officer, in a ceremony at the Tokyo, Japan Army Hospital. A patient at the hospital, Pfc Gobeil, son of Mrs Laura Gobeil, 202 Cleaves Street, served as a medical aideman with the 15th Infantry Regiment in Korea.
