Anna Neault


BIDDEFORD - Anna Neault, 94, of 4 Bernard Ave., Biddeford, died peacefully Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Southern Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Biddeford on Oct. 27, 1913, a daughter of Adelard and Laura Brunelle Gobeil

She was educated at the former St. Andre Parochial School. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and a life member of the Biddeford Senior Citizens Club.

On May 28, 1934 she married the love of her life, Henri Neault, in St. Andre's Church. He died on Dec. 23, 1981.

Mrs. Neault enjoyed being a stay at home mom. With her husband, she raised four children with endless patience and infinite care. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, memere and a friend to many.

Mrs. Neault enjoyed traveling, playing cards, knitting afghans for her grandchildren, eating out and visiting with family and friends. Her greatest joy was the yearly Christmas family gathering at her son Normand and daughter-in-law Marilyn's home in Massachusetts.

In her later years her favorite pastime was being entertained playing cards with her beloved great-grandchildren Tyler and Elijah.

She will be forever remembered by family and friends for her "joie de vivre," agreeable demeanor and winning smile.

She always saw the best in everyone.

Predeceasing her are: Four sisters, Yvonne, Alice, Laurette and Jeanne d' Are, and two brothers, Phillippe and Willie.

She is survived by: Two daughters, Doris Lambert and her husband Julian of Biddeford, with whom she made her home, and Jeannine Pendergrass and her husband Michal of Biddeford; two sons, Donald Neault and his wife Susan of Baldwinsville, N.Y. and Normand Neault and his wife Dr. Marilyn of Westwood, Mass; one sister, Irene Dudevoir of Saco; four brothers, George, Alfred, Arthur and Henri, all of Biddeford; seven dear grandchildren, Christine Martin and her husband Michael, Michael Neault, Jeffrey Neault, Craig Pendergrass and his wife Dawn, Melissa DePalma, Nicole Buerger and her husband Dr. Stephen and Sarah Warren; four beloved great- grandchildren, Kathryn and Anthony DePalma, Tyler Martin and Elijah Pendergrass; and numerous nieces and nephews.

On Sunday April 13,2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., the family will receive the extended family and friends at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph's Church. Those planning to attend funeral services are invited to meet at the church prior to Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. James School, 25 Graham St., Biddeford, ME 04005.

KENNEBUNKPORT -- Honored at a surprise dinner party, held at Shawmut Inn. here. in
honor of their 35th wedding' anniversary were Mr. and Mrs. Henri Neault of 2 Cadorette
Ave., Biddeford.

The couple were married: May 28, 1934 at St. Andre's Church, Biddeford, by the late; late Rev. Arthur Decary. Mrs. Neault was the former Anna Gobeil, They are the parents of
four children. Brother Donald Neault of Woonsocket, R. I., Mrs. Doris Lambert and
Normand Neault, both of Biddeford and Mrs. Jeannine Pendergrass of Portland, who were in
charge of the celebration. George Neault was master of ceremonies.

A social hour preceded the dinner at which time gifts, cards and a money tree were, presented the honored couple. Miss Patricia Gobeil, godchild of the couple, circulated the of the guest book.

Following the dinner an open house was held at the Neault residence.
