Laura Gobeil
Mrs Laura Gobeil, 87, a resident of 2003 Cleaves St., Biddeford, died early this morning at a local hospital following a brief illness.
She was born at St Remi Tingwick, Que., April 1, 1887, a daughter of Rezaine and Virginie (Maithot) Brunelle. A resident of this city for the past 73 years. Mrs Gobeil was a communicant of St Andre's Church, a member of the Biddeford Senior Citizens Club and was a promoter of St Ann de Beaupre Annals.
Her husband, Adelard Gobeil died in 1935.
Surviving are six sons, Henri Gobeil of Biddeford, with whom she resided, Philip Gobeil of New York City, Willie Gobeil of Saco, George, Alfred and Arthur Gobeil, all of Biddeford. Six daughters, Mrs Hector (Yvonne) Pombriant of New York City, Mrs Edmond (Alice) Bedard of Saco, Mrs Henri (Anna) Neault, Mrs Gerard (Laurette) Charette and Mrs Gerard (Jeanne) Richard, all of Biddeford and Mrs Robert (Irene) Dudevoir of Old Orchard Beach, 34 grandchildren, 45 great -grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9 A.M. at St Andre's Church and interment will be in the family lot at St Joseph's Cemetery, Biddeford.
Friends may call at the Emond and Conroy Funeral Home, 72 Hill St., Biddeford tonight from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
